Caithness - Moray HVDC Link - Dropped Object

The Caithness - Moray HVDC Link is a twin bundled High Voltage DC interconnector (single cable diameter 132mm) installed by NKT HV Cables AB for Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission (SHEt) stretching approximately 113 km across the Moray Firth from Portgordon in Moray to Noss Head in Caithness.

The vessel Kommandor Stuart has left a 52kg object (1.4m x 0.4m x 0.4m) on the seabed and an HPR beacon approx. 20m away.

All vessels are requested to keep clear of these objects which could be on the seabed for up to 20 days
